This blog shall start from Bernice third month...
that's the name of my dear little baby gal, born on the 3rd of March at Thomson Medical Centre. Her birth was rather fast as what many people told me for a first time mom. She's 3 months old already and I have not been updating for 3 months. So, i shall briefly mention what has been going on for the past 3 months.Birth process --bag burst at 4pm, at mother-in-law's house, super gan-jiong, can't eat, daddy finished his dinner quickly while mummy drank essense of chicken which ah gong bought. rushed home to take my delivery bag, went to the hospital. registered, taken to the delivery suite, deemed that i will not be giving birth so soon, sent me to ward at 5.25pm. Talked to my neighbour's visitors, Dr Lawrence Ang came, checked and said I will probably giving birth after mid-night, I said "huh" coz i was already feeling regular contractions, and I can't wait to give birth to end the pain.. Plus 3rd of march seems a nice birthday for little gal. Anyway, he said its up to us, if we want to give birth earlier, he can induce me. on second thought, i do not want to be induced coz i thought it was more painful. So, i decided to call po po and see whether 3rd march is a better day or 4th march(lunar month 15th of the first month). haha.. so called popo and she was at marina so cant check and we decided to leave it to nature...at 7.40 pm, intense contractions crept to me, couldnt stand it, pressed the bell for the nurse, took me to delivery suite, checked that i was dilated and pushed me to the delivery room. PAIN PAIN and more PAIN and yet they dont allow me to push, saying not time yet. Took the gas, pain still there, then remember them saying i can puish and i just pushed. After 3 pushes, baby came out at 8.18pm. Immediately sms all my close friends about the birth of my bundle of joy. Many people said i was lucky that the birth process was rather short, and i still could walk after the birth. Guess i was lucky...Bernice sufffered from slight jaundice, all in all had 6 blood tests, glad she was ok by the third week. Probably coz she was early by 2.5 weeks, she could not really adjust to life outside the womb, kept crying, no reason, not hungry , not wet diapers, not thirsty, not cold, not hot, not colic. but she got better by the end of her second month. And she is a smiliey baby to strangers, whenever an uncle, auntie smile at her, most of the times she will smile back.What she has learnt/ know- coos and ahs to us when we talk to her- able to follow a toy when we move it in front of her-listens when we pull her musical toy or her lion which goes haha- hahahah-hahahaha-able to stand when we hold her and she exerts her strength(yet the doctor at the polyclinic puts a cross at the muscles box, prob coz she did not stand when he pulled her) There are lots more, definitely, but because i am trying to cam 3 months' stuff into a single post, I can't write everything. Promise to be more regular about posting so more details can be included.
